Financial Donation

Pitch In for Kiwis in need

When you Pitch In you’ll be helping thousands of Kiwis right across NZ.

Sign up for a one-time or monthly donation, bring your team on board, and help spread the word to rally up donations! You have the power to make a real difference for Kiwi communities.

100% of your financial donation goes to getting food where it is needed most.

Our nationwide network of Food Hubs are acutely aware of the unique needs in their communities. Our latest Food Security Snapshot has revealed a 30% decrease in the number of people they are able to support compared to the previous survey, as socioeconomic challenges continue to bite. It’s no secret that Kiwis are finding it tough right now.

We work closely with our Food Hubs to determine what their community members are facing and what is the greatest area of need. With your support, we can bring critical food supplies to Kiwis doing it tough.

You can make a financial contribution via the form to the right or find out how to make a bulk food donation.

When you donate to NZFN, more people have access to sufficient, nutritious and culturally appropriate food.

Pitch In Campaign filled Eden Park twice!

Our Inaugural Pitch In Campaign

When we started our Pitch In campaign on World Food Day 2023 (16 Oct) we set out to fill Eden Park virtually with 100,000 meals for Kiwis in need. We didn’t end up just filling it once, but twice!! Reaching 200,000 meals by World Food Day 2024.

We called on businesses and individuals to donate either bulk food, household essentials or money to help us fill the field.

We had a lot of support along the way and enlisted a star-studded line-up of Ambassadors including – Former Rugby World Champion Piri Weepu, comedian and media personality Leigh Hart, Professional Rugby Player Sam Slade, and award-winning Special Olympics athlete Grace Payne.

Thanks to our Major Donors Fonterra, Sanitarium and T&G Fresh for kicking off the campaign and a number of key donors who also stepped-up including Foodstuffs North Island, Kellanova, Woolworths, Zespri and Ulti Group – contributing to almost 80% of the total funds raised. Their combined contributions amounted to 160,000 meals, helping NZFN exceed its initial target of delivering 200,000 meals for Kiwis in need.

Thanks to all of these generous supporters
